Special Olympian bowls 299 at Atomic Bowl

Thomas Goldsmith, bowling in the Special Olympics organized practice at Atomic Bowl, shot a 299 game and a 756 series on October 15th.
Thomas started bowling when he was 6 years old and has been bowling for 20 years – minus the last 3 years – after he lost his job with a shuttle service. Thomas used a “Speed Zone” ball that he got in 1996 when the Professional Bowlers Tour was at Celebrity Lanes. He was given the ball by PBA star Steve Jaros.
Thomas has had 2 perfect games; on June 6th 2006 and October 9th, 2007. His high 3 game series is 767.
Thomas is practicing for the Special Olympics tournament at Atomic Bowl on November 6th. Bowling starts at 8:30 am and goes till 5 pm. Thomas is only bowling the doubles with partner Kevin Grey.
